A task for AD Sync got stuck

Problem:

A synchronization with Active Directory has hung. The server issues the following error message: 

MtoException: An Active Directory import/sync is still running.

 

Solution:

The task can be released via the AdminClient. To do this, right-click on the database and select Settings. After logging on to the database, you can go to "more options" and select Unlock Active Directory Profiles. This cancels the task, and it can be executed again.
