Save the Emergency WebViewer to a Network Share

Goal

You save the Emergency WebViewer to a network share, for example a share on your file server. By default, the Password Secure service account stores the file on a resource of the Password Secure Application Server.

Prerequisites

  • The permission Can create Emergency WebViewer export system task.
  • A shared folder on the network, for example a share on a file server.
  • Permissions for the Password Secure service account on the shared resource.

Note: Grant the service account only the permissions it needs on the share, for example through role-based access control (RBAC). The Emergency WebViewer contains your password data.

Steps

  1. In Windows, share a folder on the network and grant the service account permissions on that folder.

  2. In Password Secure, open the Backstage menu.

  3. Under Tools, open System Tasks.

  4. Open the existing Emergency WebViewer export.

  5. Change the folder path to the UNC path of the network share, for example \fileserver\emergency.

From now on, the Emergency WebViewer export saves the file to the network share.
