Set Up Email Notifications for Failed System Tasks

Goal

You receive an email notification when system tasks fail. With log forwarding, you can also receive other notifications by email.

Prerequisites

  • SMTP is configured in the Server Manager.

Steps

  1. In the Server Manager, open the Log forwarding configuration under Advanced settings.

  2. Configure the forwarding of the notifications you want. In the example, all warnings and errors of the categories System Tasks and Active Directory are forwarded, for example errors during AD sync.
