Open the Debug Window in the Windows App

Goal

The Windows App includes a hidden Debug & Experimental window that records detailed diagnostic information you can send to Netwrix Support for analysis.

Note: Only open the Debug & Experimental window if Netwrix Support has instructed you to do so for a specific case. It is not intended for general, unprompted use.

Steps

  1. In the Windows App, open the Backstage view.
  2. Select About Netwrix Password Secure.

  3. Double-click the Netwrix Password Secure logo. The Debug & Experimental window opens.

  4. Reproduce the problem while the Debug & Experimental window is open.
  5. In the Debug & Experimental window, click Save to export the log as a text file, then send it to Netwrix Support.
